TRAM FOR THE STATE OF MELAKA

MRAILS INTERNATIONAL SDN BHD has succeeded take away recently.

The said project was assigned to MRAILS Tram Melaka Sdn Bhd (SPV) the principal agreement of the tram project was signed between MRAILS Tram Melaka Sdn Bhd and the Chief Minister Incorporation (CMI), on the 3rd March 2010.

The tram corridor will begin from its depot adjacent to Air Keroh toll Plaza heeding to Bandar Hilir Heritage town of Melaka thru Bukit Baru covering a distance of 40Km

The tram services will attract both locals to change their travel habit and the tourist as it covers 11 out of 14 major tourist hot spots.

The Next Generation Tram

MRAILS INTERNATIONAL SDN BHD is proud to introduce its latest technology, the first of its kind in the world call “THE NEXT GENERATION TRAM” an eco-green environmental friendly that runs on NGV engine.“THE NEXT GENERATION TRAM” engineering technology design was spearheaded by MRAILS INTERNATIONAL SDN BHD President Dato’ Jeya Kumar with the assistance of the CNR engineering team. “THE NEXT GENERATION TRAM” is designed in compliance with the Heritage Impact of Melaka as listed under the UNESCO’s World Heritage List established on 7th July 2008.

03-03-2010	Agreement Officiated between Chief Minister Incorporation (CMI) and MRails Tram (Melaka) Sdn Bhd Total distance of 40km from Tram Main station Ayer Keroh adjacent to Ayer Keroh Toll Plaza heading to Melaka Heritage City thru Bukit Baru. MRails will design, construct, finance, manage, maintain & supervise the Road tramway and Tramcar services. MRails will manage operations of the Road tramway & Tramcar services for the period of 25 years.

17-02-2012	Received conditional approval from Majlis Perbandaran Hang Tuah Jaya for the propose Tram Corridor from Ayer Keroh to Bandar Hilir Malacca.
20-04-2012	All compilation of documentation and tabulation pertaining to the Tram project Public Feedback is in progress with Rail Department of SPAD.
